What resources are the best to use if you’re new to Cloudsuite Industrial or SyteLine?
If you’re a seasoned user, then you’ll know that there is a wealth of resources out there to support your use of SyteLine & CSI. Gone are the days of having a manual stashed away in a cupboard or filing cabinet, there is a wealth of resources out there for all different learning styles, if you know where to look for them!
In this blog, we’re bringing together our top three resources that will help you to expand your knowledge even further
The SyteLine User Group
If you’re following us on LinkedIn, then you’ll know that we’re big fans of the Syteline User Group.
Their mission is ‘to serve the Cloudsuite & SyteLine community’ and we feel they do just that. The user group has a dedicated committee that works hard to ensure that the members get the best from the group.
They host several events across the year. Some of them such as the IT coffee mornings are virtual, and others such as the special interest groups are held face to face.
The flagship event in the calendar is always the User Conference.
The conference is a great place to meet up with other users and find out what is happening in the world of CSI. There is usually at least one presentation from Infor, one being a roadmap session and another around new developments. This year and last, there was a great presentation about Infor OS and the ways you can use this to achieve digital transformation in your business.
If you’re not already a member, we’d encourage you to consider joining as the community also has some influence in enhancement requests for CSI and SyteLine.

Infor
Of course, we could not talk about CSI resources without mentioning Infor themselves! There are so many different resources out there that it can sometimes be hard to know where to start.
The first place to look if you’re having a problem is always the knowledge base. There are literally thousands of articles which cover all manner of different issues that users may have reported across different versions of Cloudsuite and SyteLine, even going back as far as version 8! (though if you’re on that version, we’d strongly encourage you to upgrade!)
If it’s information about what’s new, case studies and more that you are after, then the next best place to look is the Infor YouTube channel. With live streamed events, like the one for the new October 2024 release preview, you’re bound to find something that is of interest!
The page is really well laid out with different sections which break down the information into more manageable chunks. Some of our favourite things to share on our socials have come from the Infor YouTube channel including the Combilift case study!
The next great resource from Infor is the documentation. There’s actually quite a lot of it, and if you’re more of a fan of reading to absorb new information, then this could be a great place for you to look.
The documentation is broken down into different sections such as release documentation, applications, technical requirements and localisations. Each section is then broken down further so that you can find whatever you need.
Our final resource is the newsletters that come from Infor. There are numerous ones, but if you’re a tech expert, then we’d recommend the developer newsletter which gives you a library of information in every email! There are links out to new development videos etc.
Our team and Help desk
We couldn’t talk about a SyteLine or Cloudsuite industrial resource without mentioning our team and Help Desk!
Between us, we have decades of experience across different skill sets. We have technical experts, finance and manufacturing consultants and project managers to name just a few. Each of our team brings something that means that together we have a strong team that is so much more than the sum of its parts!
But not just that, we have our Help Desk too.
This is a great service for when you need some extra hand-holding. It’s perfect if you’re looking to cover a long-term absence such as maternity or sickness. If you subscribe to the service, then you’re able to ask us questions about the things you might have forgotten or cannot find the answers to elsewhere.
The advantage of this is that we’ve been involved with your CSI project, then we’ll understand what issues are important to you and will be able to help you accordingly. Not only that, but because of our industry experience, we understand how some issues can be more critical than others. Meaning that you get help that is tailored to your exact needs.
This was a really quick run through of some of the different ways you can get more resources and support while being a Cloudsuite Industrial user. There is of course so much more than this, however, we hope this has given you a good start!
